Constantly craving cerebral stimulation, I more often than not find myself left wanting in one way or another. Disappointed or let down by my failures in daily expeditions through normal conversation, only to come up short on thought and empty in hand. Sitting and reading in peaceful moments while being randomly assaulted by memories of a time when the educated mind was given room for practice and growth. No longer, I fear, are those days in abundance. I'm overwhelmed by the doldrums of daily life and the peaceful, boring serenity that follows the completion of a simple chore or errand. I am reaching out into a dark room and speaking through my fingers into a deaf and oblivious audience. Is anyone left who cares to do more than flip through telecom while waiting for their bodies to rot away? Anyone? Anyone at all?
